To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will publish a table showing the number of planning appeals lodged, together with the number granted by his Department, in respect of each planning authority in Wales, for each of the last three years.

Mr. Grist

Planning appeal records in Wales for years before 1989 were collated according to the district in which the planning application was lodged and not the planning authority responsible for determining the application. The figures for each district for 1986, 1987 and 1988 are shown in the following tables:
