To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will make a statement on his policy for a grants and licensing scheme for the fishing industry.

The United Kingdom Fisheries Departments operate both a licensing system and grants scheme for the fishing industry. These are currently being reviewed in consultation with the industry and a statement will be made in due course.
