§ Mr. Donald ThompsonScrapie in sheep and goats and BSE in cattle belong to a group of progressive degenerative diseases caused by unconventional transmissible agents. Similar diseases are known to have occurred in other countries in mink, captive mule deer and Rocky Mountain elk.
