HC Deb 09 March 1989 vol 148 c591W
Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what arrangements he has made with the Ayrshire and Arran health board regarding the use of funds arising from the sale of the Castlehill site in Ayr; what he expects the proceeds from the sale to be spent on; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

[holding answer 19 January 1989]: If the sale of Castlehill estate is concluded in the financial year 1989–90 as expected, the proceeds will be retained by Ayrshire and Arran health board and used for capital projects designed to improve the retained properties in its area, to reduce running costs and improve health care.
