To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list the current regulations governing building standards in Scotland, and the parent legislation from which they derive.

Building standards regulations in Scotland are made under the Building (Scotland) Act 1959. The current regulations are:

  • The Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations 1981
  • The Building Standards (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1982
  • The Building Standards (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1984
  • The Building Standards (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1986
  • The Building Standards (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1987
