HC Deb 06 March 1989 vol 148 cc384-5W
Mr. Leighton

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department why the Government have decided not to uprate the grant for the Commission for Racial Equality in line with inflation.

Mr. John Patten

Subject to parliamentary approval of the supply estimates, the Commission for Racial Equality's grant-in-aid provision for 1989–90—£11,440,000—will meet in full the commission's bid for additional expenditure.
