To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many Metropolitan police officers are currently deployed on policing the London Underground.

Mr. Douglas Hogg

I understand from the commissioner that 60 officers have been attached to the British Transport police to help police the Underground. There are also 22 officers from the City of London force.
