§ Mr. Michael ForsythMy right hon. and learned Friend has received 160 applications, to date, containing proposals to plant approximately 1,700 hectares of land, of which almost 60 per cent. are identified for broadleaf trees. Twenty-four applications have so far been approved and approximately 80 per cent. of the approved planting area is identified for broadleaf trees.
