HC Deb 22 June 1989 vol 155 cc226-7W
20. Mr. Cryer

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the current level of unemployment in the Province.

Mr. Viggers

The latest unemployment figures, released last week, are encouraging. They show that at 11 May 1989 the seasonally adjusted level of unemployment in the Province stood at 107,200, which is its lowest level for almost six years.
