HL Deb 20 June 1989 vol 509 c213WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have made or will make representations to the Turkish Government concerning recent infringements of human rights in the neighbourhood of Maras (south-east Turkey) which have prompted people to seek asylum in Britain.

The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Lord Glenarthur)

We are not aware of any activity in the Maras region which would have prompted people to seek asylum in Britain.
