§ Mr. KirkwoodTo ask the Secretary of State for Health when he plans to introduce the UKCC recommended rule change to allow nurses entered on the roll, or the relevant second level part of the UKCC register, as a result of failing their first level exams the maximum permitted number of times, a further three attempts at passing.
§ Mr. Mellor[holding answer 12 June 1989]: Work on the statutory instrument to introduce this change is in hand and the new rule will be in operation in the near future.
