To ask the Lord President of the Council what consideration has been given by the Privy Council to capital sentences passed by Jamaican courts in the last 10 years; and if he will make a statement.

The following numbers of appeals and petitions for special leave in capital cases from Jamaica have been referred to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council since 1980.
