To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received regarding the capital programme for schools in Cornwall.

My hon. Friend the Minister of State discussed the 1989–90 capital allocation with a deputation from the Cornwall education committee whom she saw during her visit to the county on 12 April. A number of hon. Members, the chief education officer of the authority and members of the public have written to Ministers on this subject.
