HL Deb 06 June 1989 vol 508 cc842-3WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What conclusions they have reached about the bail information schemes, since the Home Secretary's provisional reply of 25th May 1988 (H.C. Deb. col. 171).

Earl Ferrers

Since the reply of my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department on 25th May 1988 there has been a substantial development of bail information schemes. Thirty-two courts are now served by such schemes, either on a full or part-time basis and we are encouraging their expansion to cover more courts.
