§ Mr. HowardEuropean Community procedures to harmonise product standards are not intended to change traditional practices which do not present barriers to trade. New European standards will specify different levels of performance for water fittings to suit the requirements of individual member states. In these circumstances, the United Kingdom water byelaws will continue in operation.
