Rent Income

Mr. Austin Mitchell

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will include in theOfficial Report his forecast of the increase in rent income in 1989–90 as a result of the relaxation of rent controls, the amount which will be subject to tax and the expected yield and the extra amount which the Exchequer will have to pay out to tenants by way of rent relief.
