HC Deb 28 July 1989 vol 157 c1184W
Mr. Spearing

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a schedule of plant or equipment, sometime in the ownership of Thames water authority, which, if in commission, could have ameliorated or prevented, the recent failures arising from difficulties at the Hampton treatment works, for what reasons such plant was made redundant; and what steps that authority is now taking to reactivate such facilities or to install stand-by capacity.

Mr. Howard

[holding answer 26 July 1989]: I will write to the hon. Member.
