§ Mr. Archie HamiltonThis sub-heading includes miscellaneous expenditure on such items as plant, machinery and works services at the R & D establishments and other outstations; technology demonstrator programmes; research equipment for the Meteorological Office; 1029W extra-mural research contracts with universities and industry; royalties; payments to the Civil Aviation Authority; and computers. It is difficult to infer general trends from figures which are derived from so many such disparate items.
