Mr. Sillars

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what is the total amount spent by his Department in each year since 1979 on assisting Scottish trade missions; and if he will provide comparable information in respect of each planning region of England.

Although the costs are shown by organising sponsors located in the areas specified, it is important to note that participation in a mission is on a United Kingdom-wide basis and that consequently all companies are eligible for consideration irrespective of their or a sponsor's location.
