§ Mr. Peter LloydThe offences with which remand prisoners are charged are not recorded centrally until the completion of court proceedings. On 30 June 1988, the latest date for which information is readily available, about 90 females serving custodial sentences in prison service establishments for drugs offences were known to be citizens of Pakistan or west African or Latin American countries.
