HC Deb 27 July 1989 vol 157 c945W
Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give the value of city grants made to authorities in the Yorkshire and Humberside region and outline their applications; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Moynihan

[holding answer 26 July 1989]: Eight city grants totalling just over £2 million have been approved for developers undertaking projects within the Yorkshire and Humberside region. The projects will make an important contribution to the economies of the local authorities in which they are located by providing jobs, houses, offices and retail and industrial units.
