§ Mr. ButcherThe Department collects data on vacant posts from local education authorities each January. Consultations are continuing on information to be collected regularly from authorities and schools to monitor the national curriculum and other policies. Proposals on information about teachers, their deployment and movements will emerge from these consultations.
