§ Mr. FreemanHarrogate health authority was established on 1 April 1982. Prior to that date Harrogate formed part of the North Yorkshire area health authority and district based figures were not collected centrally.
The table shows the real terms increase in gross revenue expenditure between 1982–83 and 1987–88 (the latest year for which figures are available):
