To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many district councils in Scotland run care of gardens schemes for the elderly and disabled in Scotland.

(2) how many district councils in Scotland stopped care of gardens schemes after the termination of the community programme.

This information is not collected by the Training Agency and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.

This is a matter for local authorities to decide in the light of the resources available to them.
