§ Mr. RyderMy Department is planning to commission research in 1990–91 on the impact of climate change in agriculture; on the effects of climatic change on crop responses, pests and diseases; quantification of methane emissions by ruminants on farms and the reduction of such emissions; and desk studies to estimate the possible impact of climatic change on land drainage.
