§ Mr. NichollsWe have taken positive steps to improve the labour market by developing an effective range of employment and training measures, improving industrial relations, promoting enterprise in small firms and self-employment and removing barriers to employment. These measures have made a major contribution to the massive improvement in the employment situation in the last three years and will be vigorously pursued in the future.
