§ Mr. LilleyThe activities of credit reference agencies are regulated by the Consumer Credit Act and the Data Protection Act. The report of the review committee on banking services law published in February 1989 considered, among many other matters, disclosure of information by banks to credit reference agencies. I will be making a statement on the Government's response to this report in due course.
