§ Mr. Peter BottomleyDetailed inspection and maintenance of motorway signs is carried out by the Department's agents in accordance with the frequencies set out in the Department's code of practice for routine maintenance, a copy of which is in the Library. In addition, agents' staff who travel the motorways in the couse of their duties look out for damage or other defects which require prompt attention.
