§ Mr. BlunkettTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will commission research into the amount of food required to provide a healthy diet for adults and provide an assessment of the cost of such food.
§ Mr. FreemanNo. The wide variety of foods available in Britain today means that there is an almost infinite number of ways of constructing healthy, and also less healthy, diets. The cost of the diet will depend more on the particular selection of foods than the healthiness of the diet.
