We are considering the proposals submitted by Comunn Na Gaidhlig on this subject.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any progress to report on provision for Gaelic broadcasting.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave earlier today to questions from the hon. Members for the Western Isles (Mr. Macdonald) and for Argyll and Bute (Mrs. Michie).

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what conclusions he has reached on the future of broadcasting in Gaelic.

Mr. Renton

No conclusions have been reached at this stage as we have yet to complete our consideration of the proposals submitted to us on this subject.
