§ Mr. EggarOur officials are in regular contact with companies involved in the rain forest. As my right hon. Friend the Minister for Overseas Development pointed out during his recent visit to Brazil, it is for the Brazilian authorities to decide what action they should take to enforce their laws. However, all companies should be concerned not only to comply with the laws of the country in which they operate but also to ensure that their operations are environmentally friendly.
