Mr. Fearn

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the neonatal and perinatal mortality rates are for each of the last five years for which figures are available in the United Kingdom; and what are the comparable figures for the other individual member states of the European Economic Community.

The tables give the latest available data from the Statistical Office of the European Community's "Eurostat" volume 1988 and the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys' "Population Trends No. 56."
