Mr. Cousins

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will list all LINK schemes so far approved with the expenditure on each and the location of sites at which the research is carried out.

Mr. Forth

To date, 17 LINK programmes have been approved, with total expected expenditure of nearly £245 million. The list gives approved expenditure for each programme.

Project selection under these announced programmes is still at an early stage, but already agreement has been reached with 60 collaborators from industry and the universities; these are also listed.
