To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has any proposals for a code of conduct for the offer by local authorities of council housing to ex-service personnel.

Advice to local authorities is already available in my Department's circular 54/75, which requests that local authorities consider sympathetically applications from men and women leaving Her Majesty's forces.
