To ask the Minister for the Arts what new measures he is introducing to increase sponsorship of the arts.

Since its inception in 1984 the business sponsorship incentive scheme has attracted over 1,000 new sponsors. To encourage even more businesses to support the arts, I have agreed that individual arts organisations may receive up to two awards this year instead of one, up to an aggregate of £25,000.
