To ask the Secretary of State for Transport how much of the transport supplementary grant has been allocated in 1989–90 for developing the Sheffield M1 link via Mossborough.

Transport supplementary grant is paid at a flat rate of 50 per cent. on an accepted programme of expenditure for each local highway authority. Expenditure of £1.025 million on the Sheffield—M1 link via Mossborough is part of Sheffield city council's 1989–90 accepted programme.
