Dr. ThomasTo ask the Prime Minister (1) if, during her meeting with heads of governments of the European Community states in Madrid she, or other participants in 169W the meeting, raised the matter of (a) nuclear materials safeguards, (b) a common policy on nuclear fuel reprocessing, (c) the future of the European fast reactor collaborative programme, (d) the role of the Euratom nuclear materials supply agency and (e) recent reports from the European Parliament on nuclear power and radiation protection;
(2) if, during the recent meeting of heads of governments of European Community states held in Madrid, the issue of the transfrontier transport of radioactive and toxic waste under the changes to be implemented under the Single European Act in 1992 was discussed; and if she will make a statement.
