§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonThere are no plans to issue further advice at the present time. Full advice was given to regional and islands authorities in mid-1984. The addition of orthophosphate has achieved considerable reductions in levels of lead in tap water in a number of areas of Scotland. The effectiveness of the treatment is kept under review.
