To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he now proposes to reduce the amount of chlorofluorocarbons in aerosol propellants; and if he will make a statement.

The British aerosol industry expects to phase out the non-essential use of chlorofluorocarbons as propellants on a voluntary basis by the end of 1989.
