Mr. Dewar

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the average weekly wage for(a) full-time and (b) part-time (i) male and (ii) female workers in Scotland.

The information requested is given in the table. It has been derived from the new earnings survey, which is conducted by the Department of Employment in April each year, and covers a 1 per cent. sample of employees who are members of PAYE schemes.
