Mr. Dobson

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport whether, in the light of the recommendations in the Fennell report, he will place in the Library the annual reports put forward in 1988 by the London fire brigade on each deep underground station.

Mr. Portillo

I understand that London Underground will, in the light of the Fennell recommendations, place in the Library of the House copies of the annual reports by the London fire brigade together with its responses. This procedure will be implemented starting from the inspection reports received in 1989.
