§ Mr. ButcherThe information requested for the years 1981–82 to 1989–90 is set out in tables 1 and 2. Before 1981–82 local education authorities did not receive block allocations but were notified annually, in the context of a rolling programme, of a limit on the value of building starts in the following year.
