§ Mr. John PattenStatistics on criminal injuries are held centrally by the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board but only in relation to applications made for compensation. The board publishes figures relating to police officers injuries on duty (paragraph 7.1 of their latest annual report, Cm. 536) but has no plans to collect such information for other occupations.
