Mr. Cousins

To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many nurses are engaged in educational medicine and the care of children in hospitals; and if he will give similar figures for the last five years.

The total number of nursing staff employed in the school health service in England at 30 September each year from 1983 to 1987 was:
