§ Mr. LeeProductivity in manufacturing, as measured by output per person employed, was 7.3 per cent. greater in 1987 than in 1986. Figures for the first 10 months of 1988 show an increase of 7.2 per cent. over the corresponding period of 1987. Productivity for the economy as a whole was 2.8 per cent. higher in 1987 than in 1986. Figures for the first half of 1988 show a 3.4 per cent. increase over the first half of 1987.
