What amount, and what proportion of the Prison Department's budget, was spent on prisoners' education in each year from 1980 to 1987.

Information is readily available for the period from 1st April 1984 only and is restricted to prisoners' education costs incurred in establishments. The following table shows the total costs and the proportion which they represent of establishments' operating costs:—
