To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many marketing or market research consultancies based out of London have been invited to tender for Government contracts.

During the years 1987 and 1988 17 marketing or market research consultancies based out of London were invited to tender by my Department. I am unable to provide details for other Government Departments.
