To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will publish a table showing the total amount of butter sold from EEC public intervention storage of butter in each of the five years previous to the period 1 November 1987 to 31 October 1988.

The information requested is most readily available on a calendar year basis. The amounts of butter sold out of EC intervention stores in calendar years 1982–1987 were as follows:

3 It is not possible to identify quantities destined for the USSR, which benefited from an additional subsidy of 0.13p per lb.
