To ask the Minister for the Arts whether he is aware of any secondments to arts bodies by companies in the United Kingdom of employees possessing managerial or marketing skills.

Mr. Luce

There have been many valuable secondments and attachments to arts bodies over the years. Business in the Arts—an organisation set up by the business community expressly to provide this kind of support for the arts—aims to expand these. In addition, many business men and women sit on the boards of arts bodies and give freely of their time and skills in this way.
