To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he intends to introduce a legal limit on the level of aflatoxins permitted in food; and if he will make a statement.

Following a recommendation by the Food Advisory Committee regulations are currently being drafted placing a limit of 10 microgrammes/kilogram on the level of aflatoxins in nuts and nut products.
